Die With Style Experience Agency is a speculative service design prototype developed as a design fiction to uncover and make visible the topic of Death in our lives. The Agency is offering four unique types of death that promise to turn everyone into a celebrity. The deaths are based on the historical rituals. In the speculative future, where this Agency has a very high popularity through the digital world, the service is used by a number of international celebrities. It offers not just a unique experience of your own death, but the possibility to get digital popularity equivalent of a superstar.
The work reflects and speculates on the future convergence of death and celebrity
culture. It shows the absurdity of such kind of services and the unhealthy obsessions
with celebrities’. The author is trying to make the topic of death more visible in our
ordinary lives with the help of design fiction while opening up questions about celebrity
